...Paint them!
This was painted yesterday at my class, Patti Mollica 's How to Paint Fast and Bold. We start with a value study in charcoal for every painting. This takes some time, but pays off in the end. When you get the values correct the painting works. I have this great app on my iphone "Value Viewer" so when my painting is complete, I check to make sure I have all the values correct.
Patti gives several homework assignments a week. This week we have to do a gray color chart and a pear in mosaic style. The purpose of this exercise is to translate colors to values. I'll post them later this week.
