1. Thought I would share a textured picture and quote in honor of Valentine's day. I'm such a sap for Winnie the Pooh quotes and strawberries.
2. This week three of my appliances stopped working and are need of repair…clothes washer, dish washer and microwave. Luckily my husband was able to fix the clothes washer. The dish washer bit the dust though - when the snow lets up we will be purchasing a new one. The microwave will be put on the repair list. I will miss heating my coffee up 10 times each morning. Hey, how come appliances always break down in threes.
3. Yesterday was another snow day. These major snow storms are getting old…and I don't even shovel or blow snow. Did enjoy the day off though.
4. But I still love to bake and cook on a snow day. Made some delicious scones, soup and Korean pulled pork yesterday. Though clean up wasn't fun without a dishwasher.
5. And last but not least I found this very cool snow web over our storm drain in the driveway and it made me smile.
So that's it for my Friday Finds and Random 5 Friday. Visit Kim and Nancy's sites and join the fun. Have a fantastic Valentine's Weekend and thanks for stopping by.
Margie

Oh, you got some real beauties in this batch. Love the strawberry heart. So sorry to hear of the demise of your appliances but with President's Day maybe you'll be able to get in a late sale? Cheers and stay warm.
ReplyDeleteWhen I leave your post, I always feel the need to cook! Or eat..lol. It seems that when an appliance breaks down...they all breakdown at once...I imagine that's because we get them all about the same time? Love all your photos, especially the storm drain...Happy Valentines Day, Margie....
ReplyDeleteYes - a gorgeous strawberry heart but what an insightful quote from Winnie.
ReplyDeleteI want a scone - looks yummy.Snow - you can keep it!

ReplyDeleteI think Winnie the Pooh is one of the greatest philosophers :) Your snow web is very cool, makes all that snow worth it, right? Maybe not...
ReplyDeletelove the snow web. Winnie The Pooh and his gang -- all great philosophers ... great little book "The Tao of Pooh". The scones look yummy. Everything seems to happen in threes ... wonder why?! Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteAwe! Love your Pooh quote!
ReplyDeleteoh my ... look at all that snow. At least your snowblower is still working! I love pooh quotes too ... adorable!
ReplyDeleteBrrr makes me feel cold and Winnie the Pooh the best, visiting from Friday Finds have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteLoved all of your images... except for the snow. That's gotta be tough. Hope you weather warms up soon.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute Pooh quote -- perfect! :)
Oh! Pooh bear says the sweetest things, in such a gentle voice. LOVE. More snow coming in a few hours…at least some melted the last few days. Scones are my very favorite thing - do you add extra goodies to yours? Have a beautiful week Margie!
ReplyDeletePerfect....I love your image....and the quote.
ReplyDeleteAnd your snow web is amazing :-)
Beautiful images, but the last shot gave me a smile too!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your broke down appliances..I don't have a dish washer, but I surely will miss the clothes washer and a microwave..
Oh, I love everyone of your photos! Such bad news about appliances. We went through a spell some time back, too. I can live without my microwave but not my washer or dishwasher. Hope it's all resolved soon.
ReplyDeleteYeah, what is it about everything bad comes in 3's. But thank goodness your husband is a Mr. Fixit. And thank goodness for snow blowers. And I need to live next door to you so I can enjoy those scones too!!
ReplyDeleteOMG, it looks as you got all the snow, which we didn't have this winter...
ReplyDeleteI love Pooh's qoute too. It's so, so cute! And I would really like to enjoy one of these yummy scones!
Happy Valentines Day!
we had more snow this week as well..... love winnie the pooh quotes too! and so sorry about the appliances... when it rains it pours... or is it when it snows? :)
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing with FF. Happy Valentines... xx
That is a LOT of snow! Wow! I'm sure your home stayed warm and smelled delicious, with your baking and cooking. And I wonder too -- why do things break down in 3s? Have a wonderful Valentine's weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love that snow web cover! It makes me smile, too. I am tired of the snow, too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely photo of strawberries on a heart-shaped plate. And what a perfect quote. Denne
ReplyDeleteUgh, I hate when appliances are on the fritz. I'm a perpetual coffee re-heater too!
ReplyDeleteLove those strawberries and of course, I love Pooh and his quotes! Sorry about the appliances! Our dishwasher went out the day before Thanksgiving! Thankfully, we found one and my husband had it installed before lunch!
ReplyDeleteI love the snowweb....don't love the broken appliances. We don't use a dishwasher...I don't miss it. Well, I should say I only miss it when we have large dinner parties. I think they break down in 3s because we buy them all at about the same time...since they break down in 3s, we have to, haha
ReplyDeleteThe scones sound fabulous and wow, tons of snow. So sorry about the appliances all going at once, that is really a bummer. Thanks tons for linking to Inspire Me. Hugs, Marty
