Texture Tuesday - Abandoned House

This picture was taken in North Carolina this weekend.  In northern NC where my in-laws live there are many abandoned homes like this one on people's properties.  They hold a family's history and are not torn down out of respect for the past.  Enjoyed photographing this old relic.

Today I'm sharing with Kim Klassen's Texture Tuesday, stop by and see what it's all about.  I used Kim's kk_abstract and KK_aurora textures on the first image.

Enjoy your week.

  5. How great that they leave these homes. I makes me want to peek inside to see any relics of memories left behind or the furniture they may have used. Can only imagine the warm fireplace. Your photo do them justice. Nice. :)

  7. Oh, I love this old house. And your photos bring out the vintage feel so well. The textures on your first photo are lovely. It's heartwarming to hear that these houses are left standing out of respect for their history.
